Frequently asked questions
Answers to what we get asked most. Missing an answer? Write to marinus@piccolocoffee.dk.
Roast level
You can always choose the roast level of your beans. Under each coffee we've added a recommended roast level. In some cases a dark roast won't be available, because the bean isn't suited for it.
Freshness
All our coffee beans are roasted right before they're packed and shipped to you. You can always see when your beans were roasted on the date stamp on the bag.
Storage
To preserve the coffee's flavour and aroma as well as possible, we recommend storing it dry, dark and at room temperature. Use the bag's valve or an airtight container, and avoid direct sunlight, heat and humidity.
Coffee and brewing method
Different brewing methods bring out different sides of a coffee's flavour. That's why we recommend choosing your coffee based on how you brew it. On each coffee we guide you to the brewing methods it suits best, for example espresso, filter, French press or AeroPress. As a rule of thumb, lighter roasts work well for filter brewing, while slightly darker roasts are often better suited for espresso.
Shipping and delivery
All orders over 499 kr ship free within Denmark. Order before 4 pm and we typically ship your order the next day with PostNord. Delivery takes 1 to 3 business days depending on your address.
Returns and complaints
Coffee is a fresh product, so we can't accept returns of opened bags. If something went wrong with your order or your beans, write to marinus@piccolocoffee.dk and we'll find a solution together.
