Tropical notes from Villa Pastora
Tropical Mist is a washed coffee from Villa Pastora in Palestina, Huila, Colombia. The farm is run by Yulieth Mora and the Mora Ortega family, who have worked with coffee for generations and today focus on quality, community and sustainable production. The coffee is Ombligon, an exciting Colombian varietal with a lively, aromatic expression. In the cup you get a floral, fruity coffee with clean tropical notes.

Clean, floral and tropical
The process starts with careful harvesting and flotation of the cherries, after which the coffee is depulped and fermented in barrels with Saccharomyces yeast. This controlled fermentation helps bring out the coffee's clean fruitiness, floral character and gentle sweetness. After fermentation the coffee is washed gently and dried on patios for around 15 days, giving the flavour time to come together. The result is a light, elegant coffee with tropical notes, a soft body and a clean, long finish.
